Structured Interview
A structured interview is a format in which every candidate is asked the same predetermined set of questions in the same order, allowing for consistent and objective evaluation across all applicants in the hiring process. Questions are typically designed in advance to assess specific competencies relevant to the role.
By standardizing the interview process, organizations reduce the influence of unconscious bias and make it easier to compare candidates fairly. Research consistently shows that structured interviews are more predictive of job performance than unstructured or conversational interviews.
