This episode of Fridays in the Lab features digital media pioneer Jay Samit. He sits down for a quick interview with the Wall Street Journal to discuss his "secret" when joining a new company. While it might sound harsh, Samit's advice is to "hire slowly, fire quickly." 

Currently the president of video chat service ooVoo, Samit has quite an extensive background in innovation. From working with Universal Studios New Media Group, Capitol Records and Sony, he has built a reputation as a media guru who knows the perfect recipe for success.
