With five conferences in the four weeks, the Hireology team is going to be running around like crazy (not that we're ever normal). But I must say that Illinois SHRM was a great way to it kick off. Not only was it right in our backyard, but after talking with attendees and exhibitors we have lots of new ideas in the works.
As usual, when asked what our favorite part of the show has been, we had to say exhibiting. These HR pros know the industry, so it's always refreshing to hear their views on the role of HR technology. Plus, it keeps us on our toes (and these guys out of trouble).
Although I didn't make it to any sessions, our CEO said he was very impressed with the presentations. We hold the bar high for keynote and breakout session speakers, but it sure sounded like all expectations were exceeded. And thanks to Dave Ryan's tweet warning speakers about the ledge on the stage, no injuries were reported.
Speaking of our CEO, Adam Robinson even had the opportunity to share his insights on the future of selection. From the feedback we've heard so far, it sounds like the audience walked away with some great lessons and their selection questions answered.
Now we must give a shout out to both the Sabrina Baker and the ILSHRM Team as well as Drury Lane. The show ran smoothly, the food was delicious and their quick ability to help out whenever a need a rose was much appreciated. We've been to quite a few conferences in our day, and ILSHRM was definitely one for the books.

Now that it's time to get back to work, you can get all those interviews scheduled! But make sure you use an interview scorecard!
