Fridays in the Lab: Hiring Sales People Too Fast

Posted by Erin Borgerson on August 2, 2013

What's one of the most difficult positions you've had to hire for? IT? Sales? Well, you're not alone. Believe it or not, Hireology, the hiring experts, even struggle to fill positions. Of course it's easy to find someone for the position, but just like marriage, you don't want to settle and hire just an ok candidate.

For this episode of Fridays in the lab, we came across a video of Aaron Ross, the author of Predictable Revenue, talking about the downfalls of hiring a salesperson too fast. Just like the message in his book, Ross uses personal examples to get his point across. The video is only a few minutes long, so make sure you check it out!

If you still find yourself struggling to find that perfect salesperson, try revamping your job description.
