With SkillSurvey's Pre-Hire 360® Reference-Assessment, the days of playing phone tag are over. As a matter of fact, there's very little you have to do. We know it sounds too good to be true, but SkillSurvey relies upon industrial/organizational psychology principles and verified data to guide their pre-hire assessment process.
So what does this partnership mean for you?
Well for one, the days of playing phone tag are over. The assessment is completed by the candidate's references online - so the need to track them down and schedule time to talk is eliminated.
Even better, you don't have to input anything! The candidate is responsible for submitting the contact information for each reference (up to five) and answering a series of questions. Once that's done, the reference assessment is automatically sent out.
Within a few days, you'll have the results of the assessment. These results will inform you that 1. the reference does have a professional relationship with the candidate and 2. the degree to which the candidate's and the reference's answers align. Plus with an 80 percent response rate (significantally higher than traditional phone-checks), you'll feel much more confident in the ulitimate hiring decision.
If you're still not so sure about the reference, listen up: Data has shown that references are more likely to be honest about a candidate's past performance when filling out an anonymous online survey, compared to a reference-check via the phone. So there's no need to question the validity of the reference's answers.
Best of all, these references won't break your budget - it's so cost-effective you may not even notice it on the credit card statement.
